This time I had to go on a plane that looked more like a toyplane then a real one, but it got me safely to Exeter airport, where I was picked up by Lisa.
It was so lovely to meet a lot of old friends and to finally meet a couple of friends I hadn't met before, but had already emailed with for a couple of years.
When I had made myself at home in our hotelroom, which I shared with the lovely Caroline, it was time to go and meet some more friends at the hotel bar.
After a while we headed towards a pasta bar in Plymouth for our dinner, but first Dianna showed us around the seaside.
On saturday morning I had an early morning swim at the hotel swimmingpool, so at least I had a bit of excercise.
After a delicious breakfast it was almost time to go to the convention room. Much excitement!!!
We could display our dolls for themed displays and competitions, and wow, what an amazing lot of talent again!

There were quite a couple of lovely dolls and outfits for sale, but I only took pictures of a few of them (sigh):
I wish I could have taken them home with me, but I couldn't do that with everything.
However, I managed to buy the lovely Lady Godiva from Mandy W. :
And this sweet little dress by Tracy F.:
At the official start of the programm, we had to introduce ourselves by telling a little something about our favourite fantasy pippa, which for me still is my lovely Tracy F. fairy.
After the introduction it was time for the Fashion Frenzy!
I was lucky enough to sit on a table with some very talented ladies, and the theme was quite inspirational!
This were the final results:
the winner wasn't this one:
it wasn't this one either:
nor this one:
And this was the winner!!!!:

Time for lunch after that! and yes, I love chocolate:
mmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!
Back at the convo room it was almost time for the prize table, and isn't it overwhelming when you see all the lovely stuff that was so genorously donated to it:
The first time my name got out of that bag I was able to grab me Mana, a lovely OOAK doll by Jude & Caroline:
the next time I got me this lovely Tabatha mermaid outfit, donated by Cindy W:
After the Pippa Nerd quiz (won by Shirley and Lorraine M) it was time for the presentation of the official convention doll, and WOW!!!!! the dolly team outdid itself! What a stunner!
I just LOVE my pirate Marie!!!
Shane took a picture of all these ladies of a certain age that should know better???!!!! and then there were a couple of demo's.
Elaine showed us how to sew trousers for Pippa, Dianna demonstrated how to make a wig (I've got to try that for Daisy one day!), Tracy F showed us how to do a parting when rerooting a doll, and she did a touch up for a couple of girls! (still need to take a piccie of how lovely my poorly Penny turned out after getting new make up)
Dianna also gave me some instruction on how to do a geisha updo, so when I have finished styling my Tammie and styling a Daisy, it will be time to get that sewing machine out and finally give Jasmine her new hairdo.
Finally more prize table draws, here's the rest of my prize table haul:
2 lovely dolls and outfits , donated by Lydia of Pippastore.co.uk
a lovely furniture set donated by Julieanne
Ok, my Eloïse doll didn't come from the prize table, Dianna made her for me last year, but she was very happy with that cute little mask that came of the prize table (donated by Barb).
The green outfit was donated by Pam S and the dollshouse rug was another donation by Barb.
Then there still was the goodie bag, when I have gotten round to taking pictures of it I will probably make another blogpost of it.
and then it was almost over, but we still had a delicious dinner waiting for us, and look at what I've got in the after dinner swap:
a lovely Chris outfit!
I can still smile back at the memories of later that evening in the hotel bar.
All in all it was a pippa-tastic day!
