Poorly Patience

Garden Patience and I had a lot of adventures. I intended to blog all about it, but somehow didn't get to it.
When I went on summerholidays in Denmark, Patience came with me, and I intend to write more about that when time permits.
With Halloween there was the first Tonnercon in the UK, and of course Garden Patience came with me too. We got to meet Robert Tonner and she got signed by him.
And then the 4th of December came, not a special date, but a silicon wigcap for Patience had arrived, and I decided to start using it for her.
I never used a silicon wigcap on a doll before, and whilst I was putting it on, I heard a snap, and all of the sudden my poor girl got decapitated.......

I was devastated, and immediately emailed Michelle at Wilde Imagination. She forwarded my email to Dr. Noreen from the Tonner doll hospital, and first she thought I should probably send the head and the uppertorso to her, to get her restored back to health.
I also posted about my poorly girl on one of the facebook groups, and the lovely Peggy Foggio from Westportdolls, offered to give me some instructions on how to get out the neckbutton, and to phone Dr. Noreen for me, as to sort  a different way of repairing her, to save on shipping. (Yes, I live in the Netherlands, so sending something outside Europe will cost over 18 euro, which is uninsured, so in case it would get lost with all the Christmas post, I was considdering sending the damaged torso signed for, which would cost 25,60 euro).
With help of all these lovely ladies, I got out the neckbutton, and dr Noreen posted the uppertorso to me.

Poor Ginger spend Christmas in bed, and couldn't wear the new Christmas outfit I had been sewing for her.

Late in the afternoon today, the post came, and there was the new torso!
Dollyplay and repairtime!
I'll just add the pictures here, as a picture says more than 1000 words....

for anyone who's curious what Patience looks like on the inside

underarms are swapped and uppertorso back on the rest of her body

the magical tool for dolly surgery

Done!
Of course I have to remind everyone doing this on your own is completely at your own risk!

Here she is, restored back to former glory, and wearing her new outfit:

One happy dolly, and I am simply over the moon!
